Be Near Me trailer

In March and April this year, the National Theatre of Scotland's touring production of Be Near Me will come to the Citizens Theatre. This co-production with Donmar Warehouse will run from 25 March - 4 April.

Celebrated Scottish actor Ian McDiarmid (Emperor Palpatine in Star Wars) has adapted, and stars in this stage version of the book by Andrew O'Hagan. Here's a trailer to whet your appetite:

About

Internationally reputed for its repertoire, Citizens Theatre is one of the few self-producing houses in Scotland. New Artistic Director Dominic Hill joined the organisation in Autumn 2011.

As well as it's own programme of both main house and studio productions, this much-loved, historic theatre hosts a diverse range of the best touring productions.

The Citz has two non-professional acting companies: The Community Company and Young Co.. We also offer a diverse range of educational activity through the Citizens Learning & TAG department.

TAG is the part of the Citizens Theatre that produces all of our work for children and young people.
