Edward Gant... the reviews are in!
Edward Gant's Amazing Feats of Loneliness opened this week at The Nuffield, Southampton, and the critics verdicts are in:
Performed by a nimble quartet led by Simon Kunz's mesmeric Gant...the play oozes dark imagination. Neilson holds up a fairground mirror that reveals the sadness and ugliness, the unlovely, fearful inner self that each of us struggles to keep hidden... it's uncannily hard to look away. The Times ***
Imagine Shockheaded Peter crossed with a Carry On film, and you have something of the flavour of this 90-minute show.... Beautifully designed by Tom Scutt to look like a magical pop-up Victorian theatre, Steve Marmion's production is full of gusto... The Guardian ***
